What you need

• Access to the motel phone and the nearby locked wooden case.
• The contact information in your own notes or address book. The complete Room 3 phone number is not confirmed here.

Step by step

1. Find the locked wooden case beside the motel phone and vending machine. The recording shows this area at 37:58.
2. Use your own contact information to reach the motel conversation. Steam players point to Room 3, but that detail is reported rather than a confirmed universal requirement.
3. Read the combination in the conversation. At 39:14 the recorded caller gives 6671.
4. Return to the wooden case and enter that combination on its lock.
5. Interact with the gun inside. The recording shows the Take W-500 Shotgun prompt and pickup at 55:30–55:58.

Common mistakes

Do not dial 6671 as a phone number. It is the case combination in this run. Hearing the code does not put the gun in your inventory. If a copied code fails, check your own dialogue; the retail version and every dialogue branch have not been tested.
